The Provincial Command of Latina, National Fire Corps, receives today the AF-UCL vehicle, AutoFurgone Unità Crisi Locale (Local Crisis Unit), after an intervention of technological modernization: the specialized technicians of Tekne have replaced the analog version of audio management matrix previously installed, with its digital evolution, introducing VoIP/RoIP technologies not only in the vehicle but, in fact, in the activities of emergency management in which the vehicle is used.
Today, the VoIP Gateway on board, thanks to the SIP/H323 standards used, allows the creation of a single data/voice network, which includes onboard radios (RoIP, Radio Over IP), analogue telephones, VoIP telephones, 3/4G telephones, satellite systems and on-board computers, with clear advantages in managing an emergency.
The intervention therefore extends the operational life of the vehicle and transforms it into a modern Control Room from which it is possible to completely manage audio and data communications in any emergency scenario.
It also allows its technological interoperability with new vehicles of the same type in use at the various provincial commands currently produced by Tekne.
