ATERNUS-EX AMBULANCE

The ATERNUS-EX family, our range of 100% electric, ATEX-certified minibuses, is expanding with the introduction of a special version designed to ensure rescue operations in high-risk environments.
Following the success of the Evacuation configuration, which we discussed here, we now present the ATERNUS-EX Ambulance, a vehicle specifically developed to operate in newly constructed tunnels excavated by TBM and, more generally, in ATEX-classified environments.
This project is also the result of a collaboration with Bertinex, a partner specializing in the conversion and certification of vehicles for potentially explosive environments.

The vehicle was designed to ensure the safe transport of injured personnel, integrating all the technical solutions necessary to operate in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The internal configuration allows for the accommodation of one stretcher, one medical worker, and one driver, ensuring rapid and effective intervention directly in the tunnel or on the construction site.
The client is Webuild, a leading international player in the large-scale infrastructure sector, which has once again chosen Tekne solutions to ensure high safety standards on its tunnel construction sites.

Like the entire range, the ATERNUS-EX Ambulance is 100% electric: equipped with a 25 kW 80 V motor and high-capacity batteries, it combines operational autonomy, zero emissions, and maximum safety. The vehicle includes fully ATEX-certified components, making it suitable for continuous use in critical areas.
Its compact dimensions, inherited from the ATERNUS platform, ensure high maneuverability even in the confined spaces typical of tunnels, allowing the vehicle to constantly support excavation operations and intervene promptly in an emergency.
