A dedicated training day focused on the Super Modulo AIB was recently held in Friuli Venezia Giulia, bringing together volunteers and operators from Protezione Civile Carnia Orientale to explore the system's capabilities and operational applications in wildland firefighting and emergency response activities.
The event provided participants with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the module and deepen their understanding of its deployment procedures and operational features.
Designed to ensure rapid intervention and maximum versatility, the Super Modulo AIB features an ISO20 interchangeable hook-lift system, allowing it to be transported and deployed on different compatible vehicles.
Key equipment includes:
  • 10,000-litre water tank;
  • two modular helicopter refill basins with capacities of 12,000 and 7,000 litres;
  • 100 metres of UNI25 hose equipped with an American nozzle;
  • 108 l/min motor pump;
  • transfer pump;
  • fire hoses and hydrant tools.
The training session also served as an important opportunity for operational exchange, enabling participants to discuss logistics, deployment strategies, and best practices for the use of the module in wildland firefighting operations and regional emergency response activities.
Also present during the event was the GRAELION vehicle operated by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Forestry Corps, showcasing its role in prevention, monitoring, and intervention activities across the region.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of the new GRAELION 88, the latest evolution of the GRAELION platform, developed to meet the operational requirements of civil protection organizations and emergency response agencies.
The event concluded with practical demonstrations and technical discussions, underlining the importance of continuous training and preparedness in ensuring effective, coordinated, and timely emergency response operations.
